The Lachrimae pavan was evidently a bona fide 'hit' of its age, around 1604. There are many settings for this piece from Dowlands hand. Most known are the Consort setting called 'Flow my teares'. I love this music; the sadness, desperation and yet... hope for a better life. This is from me to all you out there, telling it's hope! I am also proud to announce that this arrangements now is available for purchase/download at www.per-olovkindgren.com both as tab and sheet music Per-Olov

Part 3

From the 2010 season premiere of the US Antiques Roadshow, on PBS. It is the highest appraisal value ever given on the show. This 18th-Century Qianlong Jade Collection from the 18th century Qing Dynasty was acquired between the late 1930's and through the 1940s, by her father while he was serving in the military as a liaison. The guest recalls that as a child, she "heard that some of them had imperial seals," and was curious to learn more. What a surprise it was, to learn that they were the most valuable items to ever be shown on the North American syndication of the show. Original air date: January 4th, 2010 Appraiser: James Callahan Appraised on: June 27th, 2009 (in Raleigh, North Carolina) Episode #1401 (Raleigh, Hour 1)
