organgrinder010.blogspot.com Radio plays after more than 40 years of silence. Almost lost to the dumpster, it was saved and stored, in hopes that it could one day be resurrected. In 2006, restoration began. I replaced all capacitors, resistors, wiring, and the Power transformer -As well as a few open-filament tubes. On Saturday, March 3rd 2007, the radio finally sprang back to life. So far, via shortwave, I have been able to pick up stations as far as Great Britain, and Cuba. Mind you, this is all without an antenna even installed! Not shown is the wooden console, which is currently being refinished and having a new top built. Sorry for the poor camera quality, as it was filmed using a Canon A540 Powershot.
