Engagement with antique rings
Engagement with antique rings
Antique engagement rings are not liked by too many people. Probably it is due to the antique ring's fading color! You may add a bit of creativity before you buy a ring. You may do this buy choosing a design and then making a gold ring of the same design. If you feel embarrassed to give her an antique engagement ring but still get attracted to antique rings, then start by enquiring a little bit about her choice. Antique rings might react differently to different chemicals and some might have more or less harsh effect. So prevent these antique pieces from coming in contact with chemicals.
Some antique engagement might look real in spite of being fake. Before buying any of them, taking a collector's advice is obvious. If you are not sure if the antique you are buying is real or fake, then don't take risks. Instead buy antique rings from reputed stores. Some antique rings are known to have healing powers and drive away negative energies but too often sellers try to persuade buyers to buy antique rings for these healing powers.
Antique engagement rings with gemstones are nothing new to introduce. Any ornament with gemstones makes the wearer feel special. After all who does not want to be noticed in a party? The new antique rings come with a diamond setting but most people prefer gold or platinum with diamond. The other half of the generation is still crazy for antique engagement rings. Antique rings have a disadvantage which makes them little popular, it does not fit every finger and so you might need to buy a ring sizer before you buy.

Question by Sara B: How much can an antique ring be sized up?
Does anybody know if it's possible, and/or how much it should cost to size an antique white gold ring from a 6 to a 10? It has a diamond in the center, and a tiny one on each side.

You will need to show the ring to someone who does the sizing. Only by looking at it will they be able to tell if it can be sized up and by how much.
