I need help making a necklace?
I have a plain ribbon threaded chain necklace and I want to add a homemade pendant. I have earrings, small brooches, charms and pins that would look good with the necklace but I don't know how to attach them to the necklace. I want them to be displayed well so I was thinking of taking a circle of some material and attaching the items. Does anyone know of a material I can make the circle out of? Thank you for your help in advance!
The metal rings mentioned are called "jump rings." The craft store employee will be able to help you locate an appropriate size for the items wish to "display."
Sometimes though, a jump ring isn't quite what is needed or wanted. While at the craft store (I recommend both Michael's and AC Moore) ask someone to show you to the ribbon section.
I would also suggest purchasing monthly beading magazines. Don't get and expensive book! The mags offer many project ideas with a
supply list as well as tips.
